Exhibition Posters

I have chosen these two posters that are very different in many aspects, and they also had different strong and weak points. This first one is very dark and bod which stands out really well. It gives you all the information you need in quite big whit writing over the top of a photograph. I like this because with the very dark background the white writing sands out and only gives you the information you really need leaving you thinking what the exhibition will be like. The dark image for the background shows what the exhibition might be like so that might get a certain audience but you can't be sure unless you go which is very intriguing. I like how there also isn't anything that takes away from the information given there are now bright colors of odd objects that put you off or takes your attention away from the main subject. The image for the background is really good because it almost had a leading line with the stairs that leads you to the time, dat and admission fees for the exhibition and is also an interesting image. I think this photography was used because you it makes you want to know what the exhibition is about.  I like how with the text all the important information like time / date / location are in bold, the title is also big to create a bigger impact and make the poster stand out.

This poster is completely different to the first, as it it very colorful and simple. I really like this because I feel like it stands out more and is almost more interesting, the colors catch your eye and it also doesn't give anything away about the exhibition. This could also be a downfall because you don't have any indicator as to what the exhibition and that could put people off from going although it could also intrigue some people. Illustration has been used this is good because it doesn't give anything away about the exhibition it almost makes it a surprise. The fonts that are used are really nice because they are quite dainty but that isn't very good when it comes to trying to read the information at the bottom.

My Poster Examples

This is the main poster that I really like, the picture isn't in focus so you're almost drawn to the information
