Final Photographs

These are the photographs that I have chosen for the final piece. In the contact sheets on my previous post I noticed that the majority of my photographs were straight forward portraits really and that wasn't what I wanted, so I looked through the selection I had and chose the ones I have taken that were most like Sara Helena Bergers photographs but not exactly the same. These were also my favorites.

For the most part I had no problem with taking these photographs apart I didn't take into account what the weather was like, so when I saw it was windy it was a bit of a shock but it turned out helping with the look I wanted. I would have preferred it to have been a bit sumner but I couldn't control that. I should really have done a second shoot but I and the model didn't have time also it was raining quite a lot and that wouldn't have helped.

Shoot One

For my first shoot my model and I went to a local park, I also chose what she wore being all black with white shoes and a denim jacket. To me this is quite fashionable and has a very 50's feel to it. I got her to do a few poses but they all felt too faked. Some photos in these contact sheets have made it to my final selection of photographs. It was a very cold a dreary day which I think really added to the shoot, making my models hair blow around and be uncontrollable, also the grey sky adds to the awkward dark positions the model ended up in. I was unable to do a second shoot but I was happy with a selection of my photographs, I also have all the same photos developed which I will be using to present them.
